Indonesian medical herbs and
natural medicines are called JAMU and their healing properties have
been known for centuries. Jamu's history, related to the Mataram
Hindu Empire , began 1300 years ago in the palaces of Yogjakarta and
Solo and was practically unknown outside this immense country. Until
recently that is, when slowly the rest of the world has started to
discover the effectiveness of these mystical herbs. The Dutch however, who colonized
this large archipelago over a period of 500 years, understood quite
well the value of spices, including the development of their
medicinal use. The CINCHONA tree bark for instance, was the basic
ingredient for quinine, still a favorite remedy for malaria, leg
cramps and fever.
Indonesia, blessed with tropical
forests, has with the Amazon, the largest number of herbal species
in the world. Jamu is made from side effect free medicinal herbs and
trees using their leaves, seeds, barks, roots and fruits.
The University of Leiden,The
Netherlands,(department of tropical medicine), possesses the largest
library and analyses of Jamu and still the best standard Jamu
encyclopedia of today was written by J. Kloppenburg-Versteeg - in
1907 !!!
Do not underestimate the
force and power of these remedies: they are NOT suitable for
children and pregnant women.
There are many kinds of Jamu
formulas: to initiate abortion, to stimulate or to stop
menstruation, to stimulate men's virility, to decrease the size of
the vagina, for cleaning the blood, to stimulate bowel movement, to
cure from fever, and much more.
Today, in a modern city like the
capital Jakarta, one sees in the street still the traditional Jamu
sellers: women from Central Java with a special basket filled with
ready to use herbal extracts on their back which they mix for you on
the spot.
Thanks to modern biotechnology,
the main compounds of these mystical herbs are known and available
to you on line
Temu Lawak (Latin: Curcuma
Rhizoma) for instance contains 96% so called purified “Curcuminoiden”,
to clean the liver , pancreas and gall bladder.
It is a tool in alternative
cancer treatment, delaying the spread of tumors and to eliminate
heavy metal like cadmium in smokers. It’s effect is dose related:
less than 2,400 milligram per day has no effect.
Another example is Benaluh Teh. This
”micro organism” grows as a parasite on tea bushes and on rocks; and
it has been used for centuries to cure all kinds of cancers and as a
strong blood purifier.
Patenting the purification of
these, in principle cheap remedies, makes it more and more
expensive, also the resources are limited.
The working compounds of the
strong Dr. van Ewijk’s Jamu Liver, Jamu Kidney and Benaluh Teh are
alkaloids,
only formed after contact with stomach acid.
These are strong nitrogenous
plant compounds to be used only in small doses as pharmaceuticals
like morphine, cocaine, atropine, pilocarpine, strychnine and
heroin.
High quantities of any
alkaloid are very toxic and deadly.
Detoxification of the liver and
kidney can be monitored by blood analysis: typical enzymes like
Gamma GT , transaminase and creatinines will quickly improve to
normal values with the use of this product
HOW TO USE JAMU?
You have to make a concoction as
follows:
Put the content of 1 Jamu bag in
a glass or stoneware pan, never use iron or stainless steel, and use
plastic cutlery instead of steel.
Add ¾ liter of water, close and
heat slowly until it boils. Be careful : don’t boil too quickly.
Let is simmer and stir on a low
heat till 2/3 of the liquid is evaporated, this increases the
potency of the extract.
Put it in a cup, and drink as
hot as possible!!!
Warning: Jamu has not a
pleasant taste, it is very bitter.
If you cannot handle the taste,
add some honey as a natural sweetener.
Be prepared for frequent
bathroom visits.
The rest of the Jamu liquid,
including the herbs can be stored in a closed container or(non
iron) pan in the refrigerator. By adding some (¼ liter) water each
time, and following the same guidelines as above, you are able to
use this Jamu about 7 times.
Take every morning between
breakfast and lunch - 1 cup each day for 14 days.
Do this detoxification every two
months until laboratory results improve.
